How to get test results
Routine blood, urine, swab tests etc taken in the practice will normally take up to 1-2 days to come back although a few can take up to 1 week . Warfarin blood tests will be available in 48 hours.
Xray results are normally available after 10 days.
Cervical smear tests are currently taking around 8 weeks.
In all cases you will be informed of any test result that your doctor feels is abnormal and appropriate follow up arranged if necessary.
Please do not telephone for your result too early and where possible call between 2-4pm to speak to the secretary.
